Even though it was REALLY HOT, we had a great weekend! There was a “Water Party” at the Dog Park! The humans filled up a bunch of little plastic pools with water for us to play in and keep us cool.
The pools were shallow and like I said, it was sooooo hot, even Bosco wanted to go in the water!!! All of our best friends were there and we all got to play for a long time. I love my friends at the dog park!
These are the friends Bosco and I played with today:
1.) Salvador, a Chihuahua who was rescued just like Bosco and me! He just has one human parent, a mom. Salvador said that there are 3 kitties at his house too. Salvador was really scared and shaking when he first came to the dog park and hid by his human mom.
2.) Delia is a Shitzu who used to be a fancy show dog and was adopted by two human dads when she stopped doing shows. Even though she used to be around a lot of other dogs when she did shows, she was never allowed to play with them! Since she has been coming to the dog park, she has learned how to have fun and play.
3.) Thom Yorkie is a Yorkie! He was a stray for a while and one of his eyes got hurt. I heard my human parents say that the humans who adopted him are “hipsters”, whatever that is. Anyway, he is tiny and cute and him and Salvador like to play because they are about the same size; especially since Thom Yorkie has his summer haircut.
4.) Toffee and Pepper are two pugs that are brother and sister like Bosco and me! Toffee is a girl and Pepper is a boy. They wear cool clothes and are in parades and costume contests all the time. I think they are the most fun of all of my friends. I really like their human parents too; they always bring extra treats for Bosco and me!
5.) Then there is Francine… She is an English Bulldog. She can’t play for very long before she gets tired. She really hates the heat too. Bosco kept trying to get her to play with him, but Francine took up one entire pool all for herself and wanted to stay there all day! Poor Francine, she will be much happier when this heat wave is over!!!!!
Those are our best friends! They are at the park almost every time we are there… I am excited because we are going to have a play date with Toffee and Pepper soon and we got invited to another party and this time it is going to be a real pool party at Delia’s two dads house! Yay for Friends! Yay for pools! Booooo heat waves!
He is also peeing everywhere!!! At first Bosco and I almost got in trouble because our human parents thought it might be us… Then they realized that it was Scratch and said that he was “marking his territory.”He has peed in our human dads shoe, on our human moms bed pillow, and in their closet!
Scratch also destroyed the side of our human dads favorite recliner even though he has is very own scratching post!
